Feedback/Advice on my ranged SotT build?

I’m currently playing ranged SotT. I have a few questions and feedback on the build that would be appreciated.

The “vermintide forums” is a place where players can get advice and feedback on their ranged SotT build. The forum has been around for a while and is one of the most popular places to go for help.

Feedback/Advice on my ranged SotT build?

warhammer 3 - Feedback/Advice on my ranged SotT build?

Good day, there. So I decided to attempt to develop a pretty strong ranged SoTT staff build lately. Mostly because I like multihitting and hurling sharp leaves at various targets.

I chose a crits-heavy build since, unexpectedly, several of her abilities revolve on crits. I’d want any suggestions on how to make this build as effective as possible. I’ll include my skill and gear selections, along with a little explanation of why I picked them, so you can get a sense of what I’m thinking.

Talents:

  • On a crits build, weavebound is quite evident. If I’m continuously slaying elites, maybe martial blessing is a better option?
  • Artharti’s glee: Might as well receive additional damage from crits for things I can’t kill outright immediately, like creatures.
  • The only item in this series that impacts ranged strikes is enhanced power.
  • Hekarti’s terrible bargain: I should be fast killing elites, and if I don’t, I’ll weaken them enough for my teammates to end them.
  • Morai-Doomsight: Heg’s deal extra damage on crits owing to delight, may as well ensure a few, and with Hekarti’s, I should be able to use my ult very often to store up some crits.
  • Blackvenom thicket: I like it, and having the ability to funnel or block mobs, trap bosses, and do additional damage while doing so is a win-win.

Gear:

  • Dual daggers – Chaos damage, crit chance, resourceful combatant: can play keep away, assist in recharging my ult, and take down elites if they come too near. However, if I want to go on the defense at melee range, spear could be a better option.
  • Staff — Crit chance, Damage vs. Chaos: I know that versus armored is better, but my staff is orange, and I got lucky with max crit chance, so vs chaos would suffice.
  • vs. skaven, necklace – dam. red. Extra health, Barkskin: I seem to have a problem with skaven infantry, which isn’t helped by the fact that skaven are, in my opinion, the most unpleasant specialties.
  • For those occasions when I need to go into combat with daggers flying and a potion in my hand, I use Charm vs. armored, attack speed, and concoction.
  • Trinket – Curse resistance, crit chance, and ordinance: increased horde clear ability when things go wrong.

Now, you may have noticed that I didn’t include a characteristic with my staff; this is because I’m not sure which one would be the most useful on this build.

The resourceful shooter helps in regaining ult and therefore replenishing crits, but I can’t have an unbroken onslaught of fire for as long as I’d want.

Heat sink is a bit of a risk since I might theoretically have a long continuous onslaught, but even with my high crit probability, I often find that I overheat.

The thermal equalizer provides the most constant and long-lasting heat, and it also helps me to utilize my lift more. As a result, usefulness and consistency take precedence over burst damage.

Do you have any suggestions or advice?

I could need some guidance, particularly in terms of damage mitigation, as a pretty rookie D3 player who just bought it on Switch and am only Paragon 300 with only one Wizard character. So far, my favorite style is a ranging…
