Grant Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy Leaked by South Korea’s Game Ratings Committee

South Korea’s Game Rating Committee has leaked the upcoming remastered trilogy of GTA, which will be released on PC and consoles next year. The leak is significant as it’s not clear how many games have been leaked, but if the ratings committee was to leak a game that wasn’t intended for release yet, it could lead to a backlash from publishers and developers.

The Grant Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy Leaked by South Korea’s Game Ratings Committee is a recent leak of the upcoming games. It was revealed that there will be 3 different versions of GTA V and all three will be released on September 15th, 2015.

It seems that a remastered compilation of Rockstar Games’ earlier but still immensely successful Grand Theft Auto games will be released. The Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) of South Korea has released Grant Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, apparently validating all of the prior reports about a GTA remastered collection. Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are reported to be included in the bundle.

Back in August, Kotaku revealed a lot of rumored information about the GTA remasters:

[…] The Unreal Engine will be used to remaster all three of these titles, which will include a combination of “new and vintage visuals.” According to one insider who claims to have seen a clip of the game in action, the graphics resembled a highly modified version of a vintage Grand Theft Auto game. The game’s UI is also being upgraded, although it will have the same vintage look. There are no specifics on gameplay yet, but according to Kotaku, these remastered GTA games are attempting to remain as close to the PS2-era GTA games as possible.

Rockstar Dundee, a Scottish outpost and one of the company’s newest labs, is spearheading the push on the remastered titles, according to sources. According to another source, the studio is not only actively engaged in the remasters, but is also assisting Rockstar in the development of the next-gen GTA V ports, which are set to release later this year.

The GTA entry Nibel discovered on South Korea’s GRAC doesn’t specify which platforms the game would be released on, but according to Kotaku, the game will be accessible on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Switch consoles. The collection will be available on PC and mobile devices as well, but not until 2022, according to reports.
