Rayya, a Falkreath housecarl gained via the Skyrim Heathfire DLC, is a fascinating character.
She’s one of the few followers that can dual-wield, and she’s one of the rare housecarls who isn’t a Nord. Plus, unlike the majority of the other followers in the game, she prefers scimitars as a weapon.
She is, nevertheless, a devoted and capable Redguard fighter, as well as a viable marriage prospect.
Despite this, she’s quite uninteresting in the vanilla game!
But that is about to change. I’ve found all of the greatest modifications for improving Rayya’s appearance and applying mechanical tweaks in-game to boost her effectiveness on the farm (and in combat).

This mod also enables her to change attire based on the circumstance and time of day. That’s a wonderful touch.
Not to mention that this mod may be used in conjunction with other makeover modifications, which is a rare occurrence in the Skyrim modding community.
In general, this is a fantastic Rayya beauty mod. The adjustments aren’t drastic enough to be considered “lore-friendly,” but they keep her intriguing.
Rayya (Revised)

You’ll receive a makeover as well as a mechanical refurbishment all in one.
As a result, this is one of Rayya’s better modifications.
Rayya Revised improves Rayya’s technical features while also improving her aesthetic.
Rayya’s armor may be exchanged and modified dependent on inventory priority when it comes to makeovers. Her haircut has been changed to a more warrior woman look. She also has some well calibrated tattoos on her face.
Rayya’s fighting talents have also been upgraded substantially, with perks added to her skill set, changed combat class behavior, and a feature where she doesn’t impact the player when in stealth.
In a nutshell, it’s a mod that takes care of everything you need for a better Rayya experience.
3. Attractive Housecarl Adherents

This is a complete makeover mod for all of the game’s housecarls, including a significant enhancement for Rayya.
While the creator’s personality hasn’t changed much, her appearance and skill set will now represent who she is.
Her new look is based on her backstory as a Redguard warrior who, while being so far removed from her origins, is nonetheless deeply connected to her ancestors.
And her new style gives her a warm glow with a hint of exoticism. As a result, it’s really visible!
She also gains an upgraded skill set, transforming her into a demon in combat.
4. Reimagined Shield Sisters

This mod has shown up on prior NPC modding lists I’ve made, and there’s a reason for that:
It’s fantastic.
While Rayya’s makeover isn’t my personal favorite, I appreciate the effort and work put into the model.
This Rayya has so much love put into it, from the altered haircut and skin texture to the tiny details of the facial tattoos and model rendering. The rest of the models in this mod are similar.
However, in-game, this high-poly replica is still lore compatible. That’s what gets me to say “yes.”
Brutality has never looked so appealing!
5. Female Follower Modifications

This makeover hack is straightforward and straightforward.
The adjustments to Rayya here are fantastic, requiring only the Apachii hair tweaks (which are amazing in and of themselves).
Her backstory as a wandering warrior who has settled in Skyrim gives her the appearance of being exotic while being firmly anchored in Nordic soil.
And there are so many little details that contribute to her overall look:
A young skin, loosely pulled back hair, and just remnants of badly faded warpaint.
All of the other makeovers in this mod are also enjoyable and appropriate. Rayya, on the other hand, stands out as one of the better ones.

Here’s a custom mod for Rayya that just changes one item about her model:
Hair.
When her scarf is removed, her vanilla model reveals that she is almost bald, with no default haircut to fall back on.
This mod improves that situation, and it all uses vanilla hairstyles.
You have two haircuts to choose from: an undercut Mohawk and a short Nordic female style.
She can pull off either look. However, due of her ancestry, I’d prefer the hawk.
Regardless of whatever option you choose, it’s reassuring to know that she doesn’t have to walk about without a style on her head.
For some people, being bald isn’t a good look.
Bijin Warmaidens (No. 7)

This mod is not advised for my lore-loving gamers. But for everyone else, it’s a great alternative!
The standard-res makeover meshes in this mod are quite nice, but there’s also a high-res texture option.
Rayya’s makeover is gorgeous, assuming you disregard the fact that her hair is unnaturally blonde (and the lighter hue of her eyes).
As part of a lore-friendly Redguard transformation? It’s a complete failure.
In terms of an overall makeover? With her styled pinned-up hair, custom warpaint, and a lovely complexion, it fits great for her.
Overall, it’s a fantastic appearance, however returning her hair and eyes to their dark colours would add nothing to the design.
Makeover for Rayya Housecarl #8

Another comprehensive makeover mod that requires other modifications to work properly (also just the ApachiiSkyHair mod).
However, it drastically changes Rayya’s look, including two distinct haircuts.
It also allows her to take off her hood and modify her idles to a more feminine look.
In comparison to the others on the list, I’ll concede that this doesn’t add much to Rayya’s character development.
This may seem a little patronizing, since her finest attributes are her cultural distinctiveness from the other Nord housecarls and her fighting skill.
With that stated, go to town if you want to make this female more aesthetically attractive to the widest possible audience of gamers.
I would, however, advocate testing any other mod on this list first to see how they compare.
