The Elder Scrolls games series has been around since the 80s and is probably one of the most popular PC gaming franchises out there. With an expansive history behind it, players have grown up with the series as they journey through Tamriel’s diverse landscape. The latest iteration in 2018 however released to a lot of disappointment from fans who were hoping for new features and improvements over previous releases on both consoles and PCs.,
The “skyrim won’t start after launcher” is a problem that many players have been experiencing for a while. The issue has been present in the Elder Scrolls games since they were released.
There have been various starting issues with the game since the latest update.
To start, here’s what this problem isn’t: It’s not Launcher that’s preventing the game from starting; it’s the game itself. It’s not because Launcher isn’t updating or downloading. No, it’s not a sensapi.dll issue (just in Windows 7?). No, it doesn’t seem to be a TLS 1.2 issue (because Windows 7 only?). No, it’s extremely unlikely that the files are damaged (they’ve already been inspected, redownloaded, reinstalled, and corrected multiple times). No, it isn’t antivirus software (its disabled, also exlusion was added). No, it isn’t a firewall (its disabled) This isn’t a “run as administrator” problem. It’s not a problem with an out-of-date graphics driver (they are up to date). No, addons aren’t an issue (there are none anymore).
What occurs: 1. The game downloads and updates without a hitch. 2. The Launcher starts up as expected. 3. Pressing the Play button launches Eso64.exe. 4. However, the probability remains at 0%. CPU utilization consumes between 2 and 4 MB of RAM at all times, and nothing else. There is no change in CPU utilization, memory consumption, or anything else; there are no error warnings, no game window, and the process just sits there doing nothing, no matter how long I wait.
Everything was OK before the upgrade on November 1, 2021. Other games and applications continue to function normally. It’s simply Elder Scrolls Online, which has stopped working since the latest update. Nothing else has been altered. It consisted of little more than playing the day before, shutting down the computer, booting it up, checking discord, running the launcher, updating, watching a little Netflix, and launching.
Notebook is my system (power is connected) 64-bit Windows 10 (upgraded once to Windows 11, same issue, but back to Windows 10 again) Intel Core i7-8750H processor
Someone speculated in the previous post that the issue is caused by the Anti Cheat.
It’s conceivable that anything on my system will be identified as a false positive. But I’ve never cheated in ESO and have no desire to do so, and if there is anything creating this issue, I have no idea what it is.
My crazy estimates are as follows: 1. AutoHotkey, which I used to modify keyboard layouts and replace CapsLock with another key in ancient games (such as Sacred), but nothing else. Stopping it, however, had little effect. 2. Is there a driver for my mouse or keyboard that offers comparable capabilities but that I don’t use? 3. Because Visual Studio is installed, the Visual Studio Debugger? 4. Is there anything else installed with Visual Studio? 5. Do you have an earlier Java version? 6. My Audio Driver (Nahimic), which performs strange things? 7. What is Virtual Box? 8. What is the purpose of the Windows Game Bar (Screen Capturing)? 9. Steam Overlay (disabled already)?
All of this is standard software that may be identified by anti-cheat software; if so, please tell me what it is…
